  7. over the corneal surface, the 
  8. tears in the tear meniscus (also 
  9. called tear prism, lacrimal lake, 
  10. tear strip) along the lid margins 
  11. is easily seen.  With dry eyes 
  12. this tear prism is decreased in 
  13. size and may be essentially 
  14. absent in places.
